Sadly, Robert Greenland, who has represented Devauden Ward as County Councillor for many years, died peacefully at home on 9th August.
Until last year Bob lived at Model Farm in Wolvesnewton which he had run as a folk museum and craft centre from the mid 1980s until 1996. Bob had a keen interest in rural affairs and was involved with the Country Land and Business Association.
He was first elected to Monmouthshire County Council in 2004 and was re-elected for the fourth time in May this year. Bob had served as the Council's Deputy Leader for thirteen years.
Bob as always a strong supporter of the St Thomas à Beckett Church in Wolvesnewton and recently completed a theology degree. Once ordained he regularly led services at St Thomas à Beckett and in Usk.
Bob is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
