Following the sad death of Cllr Bob Greenland, there will be a by-election in Devauden ward of Monmouthshire County Council on Thursday 20th October.

The nomination period for candidates to stand for election has ended and the following candidates will be standing:

BUCKLER Rachel - Conservative
FAIRMAN Emily - Green 
MACTAGGART Jim - Labour
RAMSAY Nick Welsh -Lib Dems
WEBB Ed

At the elections held in May this year the Conservatives received just under half the votes and Labour came second with about one third of the votes.  The Greens and Lib Dems came third and fourth, each with 10% of the votes cast.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on 4 October 2022. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/registertovote
