Candidate Joe Davis has sent a message thanking those who supported him in the recent County Council elections.

"Thanks to everyone who supported me in the County Council election last Thursday, I was overwhelmed with the number of votes I received which far exceeded my expectations.

"Congratulations to Bob Greenland on being re-elected and thanks for the kind words in the acceptance speech, it was very much appreciated.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of running in my first election and speaking to many members of our community on the doorstep.

"Once again, thank you to all who supported me."

The results of the election were:

  Bob Greenland (Welsh Conservative Party) 399 votes (70%) Elected
  Joe Davis (Welsh Labour)  175 votes (30%)

Turnout was 48%
