Devauden Races returns on Bank Holiday Friday 8th May 2020.

Devauden races are back, in association with Caldicot Running Club! The traditional May Day event will again be run entirely off-road through Chepstow Park Woods for all ages and abilities.

All finishers will receive a medal and all competitors in the 2k and 10k will have a slice of our legendary Devauden cake with a drink after their race.

All races start and finish in the grounds of the Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden which is just ten minutes from the old Severn Bridge and Chepstow.

The charity event raises funds for the Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden which provides community activities and facilities to the local community and SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association) which patrols the Severn Estuary; the rivers Severn, Wye and Usk and the land in between. They provide first aid and emergency cover on race day.

The 10k, for teenagers 15+ and adults, is run on the original course which circles Chepstow Park Woods plus an inner loop. There are trophies for the first male and female home as well as the age categories of 40+, 50+ and 60+. Test yourself on this challenging but beautiful course with stunning views across the River Severn and not a car or road in sight.

A new 2k course is designed for junior runners. There is a separate race for 7 to 10-year olds followed by a race over the same course for 11 to 14-year olds, split into two categories covering 11-12 and 13-14-year olds. There will be trophies for the first three boys and girls home in each category.

The traditional 60m dash across the football pitch is for 6 years and under. Entry is free and everyone who finishes gets a medal.
