The public consultation on a proposed new 20 mph speed limit for Devauden is  being undertaken by Monmouthshire County Council.

The council intends to reduce the speed of traffic through residential areas and has received the go ahead from the Welsh Government to implement a limited number of 20 mph speed limits in the county.  The first schemes will be in the Abergavenny and Caldicot areas.  Devauden looks set to be included in the second phase which is scheduled for March 2022.

Details of the proposal have now been published and are available from the Monmouthshire County Council's Website
https://www.monmouthshire.gov.uk/amendment-order-no-2-2022/

Any objections to the proposal can be made in writing, stating the grounds on which the objection is being made and should be sent to Traffic Section, Monmouthshire County Council, County Hall, Usk NP15 1GA not later than the 23rd of February 2022. Objections can also made online using the council's Public Consultation Response Form.
